2006 Northern Zone Championships
Thanks again to Nick Rhoades and his wife Gundi
for agreeing to host the 2007 Northern Zone Championships at their
property "Gowrie". Just outside Inverell. Please note:
- This year the competition will consist of two
boat sessions on the big lake and two bank sessions on two of the
smaller lakes. We will need one
boat for every four anglers so please advise at time of
pre-registration if you can bring a boat.
- Only trout of 22cm or larger will be qualifying fish.
- FFA rules of fishing will be strictly applied to this

"How to get there by road from
Canberra:
It's a road trip of some 11 odd
hours (depending on the company, stops and driver) from Canberra to
Gowrie.
The towns you travel trough for
the most direct route ,all on sealed road, are:
Yass, Boorowa, Cowra, Canowindra,
Molong, Wellington, Gulgong, Coolah, Gunnedah, take first highway turn
on LH side to Manilla, Barraba, Bingara, Delungra
At Delungra turn toward Inverell
and just outside Inverell turn right onto the Gumflat Rd to Lake Copeton
and keep an eye out for the Gowrie sign some 18 klm down the road on the
right hand side." |
