"How to get there by road from Canberra:

It's a road trip of some 11 odd hours (depending on the company, stops and driver) from Canberra to Gowrie.

The towns you travel trough for the most direct route ,all on sealed road, are:

Yass, Boorowa, Cowra, Canowindra, Molong, Wellington, Gulgong, Coolah, Gunnedah, take first highway turn on LH side to Manilla, Barraba, Bingara, Delungra

At Delungra turn toward Inverell and just outside Inverell turn right onto the Gumflat Rd to Lake Copeton and keep an eye out for the Gowrie sign some 18 klm down the road on the right hand side."
