The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held yearly at the National Fly Fishing Championships. The AGM allows the attending members to vote for the incoming Board Members, hear reports from the President and other Directors in relation to the operations of FFA, view financial statements and vote on changes to the constitution of Fly Fish Australia.

The ordinary business of FFA is attended to by the Directors of FFA. Most business is carried out by email and telephone call. The executive consisting of the President, Secretary and Treasurer meet either in person or by conference telephone call as required but generally at least once per month. Minutes of those Executive Meetings are distributed to all directors. Directors meetings are held, by conference telephone call, at least 3 times per year but whenever required by a director. All directors are invited to attend directors meetings.

New business is generally put to the board for consideration after it has been considered and referred by a Chapter.
